Summary:
Rockfish is the most popular of the groundfish species that we carry. It is a staple in the Pacific Northwest because of its mild but sweet taste. These rockfish are caught by trawlers as well as by hook and line fishing methods. There are nearly 70 species of rockfish, and most are named by their appearance. Some of the species that we carry are Bandits, Rougheye, Yelloweye, Shortraker, Quillback, Canary, Silvergrey, Rosethorn, Longjaw, and Idiots.
