FROZEN AT SEA (FAS) PRODUCTS...
The FAS products offered by Ocean Crystal Seafood are wild caught in the pristine ocean waters of British Columbia, Canada off the Queen Charlotte Islands. The Queen Charlottes are 80 miles west of mainland Canada, north of Vancouver Island and just 20 miles south of neighboring SE Alaska.
FAS products are seasonally caught by uniquely outfitted troll fishing boats. Utilizing hook and line catch techniques, the fish are landed without the telltale bruising seen typically by seining or gillnetting. The fish are caught, processed and frozen on board within two hours and prior to rigor, maintaining the integrity of the flesh.
